Hello and welcome to our 5th Edition of Excel Life.

We are happy to give you another information-packed issue featuring various health topics that will help you excel in your wellness!

We show you how protein supplements can improve your recovery process and which ones will give you optimal benefits. I also share in this issue the learnings I gained from attending a 3-day course by Professor Stuart McGill regarding chronic and recurrent back pain, and the primary exercises that are essential for a healthier and pain-free back.

In our last edition, we introduced one of our physios, Arthur Kapsimalis; and in this issue, get ready to learn more about the three members of our team – Brenda Vien (Practice Manager), Lawrence Lin (Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist), and Marcos Julius (Massage Therapist).

We further expound on the benefits of Yoga and Pilates, and how it can help you to attend a one-on-one session to learn the techniques more in-depth. And we also provide a few tips on how to prevent swelling from an ankle sprain –  a common injury we often see here at Excel.

And lastly, we have a great recipe for autumn – Pumpkin Rice. Enjoy the sweet, nutty taste of this healthy dish perfect for this season!
