Tim Ellis
Principal Physiotherapist, Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, and Director

Tim graduated from the University of East London in 1996 and founded Excel Physiotherapy and Wellness in 2014. He specialises in treating complex necks and backs, and developing effective exercise programs for his patients. Tim is committed to inspiring his patients in their injury recovery program and all round health and fitness goals.
Tim is a member of the specialist group Hip Pain Professionals, having studied and specialised in the treatment of chronic hip condition such as tendinopathy, dysplasia, sciatica and arthritis.

Tim has over twenty years experience working in both the public and private health sectors. He opened Excel Physiotherapy and Wellness in Mascot in 2014 and has overseen the growth and development of the practice, including the ongoing training and mentoring of Physiotherapy staff, whilst continuing to work in a clinical capacity.
Tim treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. His Masters in Musculoskeketal Physiotherapy (completed 2001) included a thesis on the relationship between hip muscle dysfunction and low back pain, and this was personally supervised by Professor Jenny McConnell. Tim has a particular interest in treating complex spinal and hip conditions. His emphasis on treatment begins with through assessment, hands on therapy and moving onto an active exercise plan to help prevent recurrence of the injury.
Originally from London, UK, Tim has enjoyed a highly varied career. He studied archaeology at the University of York before practising as an archaeologist for 6 years, working at the Museum of London. Tim also worked as a chef in Covent Garden, London whilst studying massage at the London College of Massage and, later, his bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at the University of East London (1998).
Tim relocated to Sydney in 2000 and he completed his Masters studies at the University of Sydney in 2001.
He has since worked in private practice, building an extensive network of doctors and allied health providers. He has worked extensively with sporting teams and classical musicians.


James Konstantakopoulos
Senior Physiotherapist

James graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He has a genuine passion for helping his clients understand their injuries and achieve their goals. James strives to deliver the very best care for his patients and takes a result’s driven and positive approach to treatment. James is friendly and loves to meet new patients, helping them to heal from injuries and pain and achieve their health and fitness goals. Coming from an athletic background, James has a particular interest in sporting injuries.

James comes from an athletic background and enjoys sports, in particular basketball and soccer. James was a Youth Physiotherapist for the Sydney Olympic Football Club and a Junior Physiotherapist for the APIA Leichhardt Tigers Football Club where he diagnosed and treated acute sporting injuries and provided on field injury management.
James has excellent manual therapy, clinical reasoning and ongoing cooperative care skills. He is able to confidently diagnose, evaluate and treat musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. James has an empathic and understanding nature and a real passion for helping his clients understand their injuries and achieve their goals. James enjoys excellent relationships with personal trainers, exercise physiologists, doctors and surgeons.
ALEX COCKBURN
Physiotherapist
B.HlthSc (UWS) MPhys (UWS) APA
Alex graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science and went on to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy.
Alex has over 8 years of experience in a wide variety of settings including musculoskeletal, neurological, pain management and exercise rehabilitation. He has a very empathetic and caring nature and is passionate about helping his patients with their injuries and conditions.
Alex has a special interest in treating shoulders, knees and neurological conditions. He believes in combining the restorative effects of hands on treatment with exercise therapy.
Alex loves anatomy and is a University Anatomy Tutor when he’s not treating patients.
In his spare time, Alex will either be at CrossFit, enjoying live music and comedy, or hanging out with his recently adopted cat, Antonio.


WYATT RAYMOND
Physiotherapist
B. Phys (JCU) APA
Wyatt graduated from James Cook University in Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He has experience working as Team Physiotherapist for the National Rugby League (NRL), providing pre and post match training, elite performance training and recovery physiotherapy. He has also spent time in private hospitals and private practice, providing holistic, empathetic care and rehabilitation to his clients.

Wyatt is highly motivated and hard working, striving to deliver the very best in patient centred care. Wyatt is a member of the NRL, as a referee at both national and international level. Being an elite athlete, he is passionate about empowering his patients and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve their goals. When not treating his patients or refereeing NRL matches, Wyatt enjoys spending time at the beach with his partner and their Golden Retriever.
Chia-En (Ann) Hsiung
Remedial Massage Therapist

Ann is a dedicated remedial massage therapist with a strong commitment to holistic wellness. Ann offers a comprehensive range of services including remedial, trigger point, swedish, sports, pregnancy and lymphatic drainage massage.
Ann creates a warm and supportive environment, focusing on individual needs and tailoring treatments accordingly. She takes great pleasure in promoting relaxation, reducing stress, easing pain, and aiding in the recovery of sore muscles. Her goal is to provide clients with a renewed sense of well-being and improved physical condition. Ann is also fluent in Mandarin.
Ann is available at Excel on Wednesday.

Outside of her professional life, Ann enjoys baking delicious treats, exploring nature through bush walking, and perfecting the art of coffee brewing. These activities allow her to recharge and bring a positive energy to her clients’ sessions.

Tomalin is currently studying a Bachelor of Science; majoring in Anatomy and Histology, and Biology at the University of Sydney. In 2023, she will begin her Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy. When not studying or working at Excel, Tomalin enjoys staying active at the gym and bouldering.
